Ledford’s Termite & Pest Control was incorporated in 1975 in Charleston, South Carolina. Charles R. Ledford, affectionately known for years as “Big Foot” started the pest control business after retiring from Terminix. Charlie E. Ledford, his son and current president and CEO, worked with his father when he was with Terminix and also while in college after Ledford’s Termite & Pest Control was formed. Charles R. Ledford suffered a heart attack in 1977 and was unable to perform the physical duties of the business. Charlie E. Ledford then became president of the business. Charles passed away in 1984. The pest control business has grown exponentially since then, and we currently have 30 employees. We expanded our services to include the Columbia, South Carolina area in 2004. The third generation of the Ledford family is now employed with the business also. Charles S. Ledford and Amy DiLiegro are employed with the business and are continuing our company’s legacy.
A large percentage of our technicians, both termite and pest control, are licensed by the state of South Carolina. All of our technicians receive training through out the year to keep them fully educated about safety, different chemicals available, the proper application of these chemicals, and new regulations regarding pest control.
